Channeling my inner Martha

I had to decorate for my dear friend Candace's Baby Shower. She is having a girl named Layney Rae sometime in June. As hard as it was to go to a baby shower, the first since losing my baby girl, I am so glad I went. I wouldn't have missed it anyways, Candace is like my sister!

Anyway, she is doing Miss Layney Bug's room in Ladybugs...so cute! So we went with the colors and theme of her nursery as the shower theme.Everything turned out cute! If I say so myself. We made a diaper cake, it was sooo fun!

I wish I could have stayed longer but I had to get back to Houston. Next time I visit will be to video Layney's birth! Yay!!

Sorry I have been MIA. Just had a busy few days. Just been a little heavy hearted as well with things that some of my poor friends are having to deal with. I hate to see people in pain :(

Anyway, Houston is snoozing away. I will have to pay for this later. He got up early this morning to go to Mass. We go to the early one so I am getting him up about
6:15. A few minutes before I get him up before school. Those extra minutes must be a big deal :P

I have my treatment tomorrow so I feel sooo tired :P I will be very glad to get my "Liquid Gold."

Anyway, I will try and write more later. My brain is shot.

I enjoyed Mass today, I did have a mishap though. Me and the lady next to me went down on a kneeler. Her side was missing the screw :O We about bit it big time ....not good. Good message though :)

Taking a Break

Taking a little bit of a break in the backyard watching my little guy drive his power wheel and thought I would do a little update.

I had a pretty good day. I am joining another gym tomorrow. I have been having major self esteem issues, with all the extra weight the predisone has piled on :P Hopefully, it will help.

I am proud of myself. I prayed the Rosary today and did pretty well remember everything. It is starting to be second nature. Still a little intimidated to do it before Mass though. I am slow :P LOL

I am about to feast on some lovely baked lays and a diet mountain dew. The sun is shining. I just talked with some great people in a Catholic chat room. Houston is behaving. Today is a good day:)

I hope everyone else is having a good day. I admit I didn't get a whole lot done today, but my house is pretty tidy and I am just feeling puny waiting on my treatment next week :P

weekend weekend weekend

Houston spent the night with grandparents Saturday night, I went and did my own thing while the hubby was working.

Later we went out to eat and to hear a band. It was fun :)

Yesterday, I went to Mass. It was great. We had a Baptism and all kinds of other good stuff. Loved the Message. God is the way,the truth and the life.

After, that dh had more outside stuff to do. He told me treat myself to the book store so I did ;) I then went to eat at Panera....YUM YUM YUM.

I came home realized in the sun, went for a walk and talked to a neighbor. Then the kiddo was home! Loved on him. Played and went to sleep:)

He is napping right now. I am about to make him some lunch then we are going to have fun in the back yard.

Oh, hubby is also probably going to get me my new camera this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yay, me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay,first things first.

The Tball game was HORRIBLE. Houston didn't want any of it. I have like 2 pictures. He wanted to play in the mud :P Picture in your mind, your worst nightmare. I PROMISE it was worse. Yeah.

Lets see, he did pretty well in school this week. He was a little wound up probably because it is starting to get pretty again. I hope.

I broke the door to my oven this past weekend:P The glass just shattered out.The piece came in yesterday. The hubby will have to put it in this weekend :P

Our houseguest that we have had for a few months, has a place :) Love him to death but I will be kinda glad for a break.

The hubster suprised me lat weekend with bringing home a recliner.
I like it.It is just a taupe colored one with big black speckled things in it...LOL. I don't know how else to describe it. He got it from Haverty's maybe they have a picture up..LOL

He also let me go get a new table :) *Insert big smile* It is a pub style table, that my poor arthritic body loves :)

I am loving my new stuff :) We never by new stuff and stuff was getting worn out. From here on out hopefully we can just by a piece at a time.

I gotta come up with something fun to do with Cheese. Maybe a movie? I need to see what is playing. I may take him to Chuck E. Cheese again. Who knows.

He is getting better with his speech. He isn't severely delayed anymore, just somewhat delayed.In some situations he is almost passable as just another kiddo. Which makes me so happy but also makes me feel like I constantly have to make excuses for his quirks etc. I think he needs a shirt that says. " I have delays, and.....so what." LOL

I find myself checking others blog a few times a day to see if they updated...and getting a little sad when they don't and yet I hardly ever update. Maybe because I don't see HOW anyone could find my blog even somewhat interesting.

Oh another wee little update is we booked our tickets up to Plymouth, MA this June.Yay, a vacation!!!!! I am pumped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must have lost my mind......

I am about to take the Cheeseman to the other Big Cheese, Chuck E. Cheese to be exact. Say a little prayer that we come out unscathed. He is eating his lunch now and then we are on our merry little way. :P

Not much has went on today,Houston and I have just been doing fun stuff.

Houston's first tball game is Saturday. It is going to be painful, I fear :O

Well as many of you know I almost joined the LDS church. Even though it felt mostly right there were a few things I was having trouble with. The hubby was having the same stumbling blocks.

We both were researching and praying and decided that the Catholic Church was the perfect fit for OUR family.My mother's family is Catholic so I know a lot more about the religion than the hubby but he is coming along :) I have been sharing with him what I do know as well. I will be starting classes at the church in the fall maybe as early as the summer.

Among other things:

We do believe believe there is a apostle, the pope. We believe that Jesus founded his Church upon Peter.
We don't believe in a one size fits all heaven.
We believe in Original Sin.
Good works are important.



So we feel the Catholic Church is the fit for us.

I have literally prayed and thought all this out for about 10 years :O Indecisive much?

Anyway, Houston has always loved reading his Bible. He stumbled upon me doing "Quiet Time" one day and the rest is history. He loves to read his bible and pray with me. He takes notes too.....Okay, okay he draws pictures ;)

Updates in General

My little brother is in the hospital with MRSA :P I can't even visit because of my immune issues. It stinks on ice...big time.

Houston is playing t-ball or we were going to at least try it out. It isn't going so well. :P I think he needs another year.

I am feeling a little better, which is good :)

I am in a little bit of a rut right now so forgive my lack of updates :P

Houston is still loving school. He had last week off for Spring Break. He couldn't wait to go back today :)

Easter Recap

We had a fun Easter. Cheese hunted eggs with his cousins on his Daddy's side. My brother was in the hospital so we didn't really do anything on my side.

Sorry I have been less than punctial with my posts.

I finally feel like things are starting to settle down. I don't feel the need to cry everyday. I think my horomones are levelening out. I am still having those wickedly vivid dreams though :P

Houston is doing well. He spent the night with his grandparents yesterday and had fun. The hubby let me have some me time :) A couple of friends spent the day together and had fun.

Today, has been a beautiful spring day....after having snow yesterday.WTF?
Houston and I had fun playing outside today. We baked a cake this afternoon...which he insisted we top with Care Bear fruit snacks :P Should be interesting to taste :P

Houston has a denist appt tomorrow. I want them to check where he chipped that enamel it seems to be darkening ( they said it may:P .) The next day I have a doc appt. The next the hubby has an appt. Going to love paying those copays :P

Well I am having a wonderfully relaxing Sunday and I am going to go bask in it :)

Just wanted to check in. I am worn out. Sonny boy and I played soccer for hours outside.

Today he had pj day at school. He loved it. Tomorrow is career day. He is going as a fireman. He is doing pretty well in school. Yay, him.

Houston is still as peachy keen as ever though he is so flippin sweet and cute.
We flew a kite today...quite the experience. I also bought him some skates. I thought they would fit. It said they would fit to a size 1. They lied or ds's feet have grown half an inch...who knows. I had to get his smallest shoes and cram his feet in them. He looked pretty cute :)

I busted butt and took names as far as errands go today. I also probably spent a little more money than I should have too. I went to a Candle Party. I bought even though I can get the same stuff from my friend with a discount...what can I say peer pressure. They all did make fun of my scent choices though. Said it smelled old ladish....Whatever. It is Lemon Pie. It smells good :)

Our power has been flickring so I better get off....I know you are hating that...this entry has been so riveting...LOL :P

Well...went to the follow up ob appt.

Found out the baby was a girl :*( She had a extra 8th chromosome. It was a lethal anonomoly,meaning if I had carried her to term she would have been stillborn.

We still gotta go to the genetic guy...we will see how it all pans out.

I swear finding out the sex is almost like losing the pregnancy all over again...I guess because you know what you lost...kwim?

Still praying...all I can do :(

All boys are sleep.....all snuggled in bed.....visions of who knows what dance in their heads.

Poor Cheese feel asleep standing up. He was pooped. He cracks me up. He was bad today after school. I think it was because he was SOOOOO tired. Either way after peeing on my floor....he decided he was sleepy ;P

The hubby is getting better. He gets the stint out tomorrow.

Just thought I would put some pen to paper.....okay well fingers to keys while Cheese was sleeping.

I so hoped he could go to school today. Um, no sch luck took his temp before bed 102.2. :P Gotta love some good old viruses.

He is sleeping it off. My deranged husband went into work for a few hours...I think he is almost likes pain. WTF was he thinking?? I have tried to call and make sure he hasn't had to be rushed to the ER or something and wouldn't you know my phone isn't working...Lovely. That was only beaten by when my water wasn't working this morning. Lovely again. It is now working praise god! No phone though...so I emailed him, hope he gets it?!

I am sitting in my recliner inhaling the smell of my house. Our house smells like it is Easter all year round, have I mentioned my penchant for cleaning with vingear.....um....love it.

Onto, other things....hm. I am so exciting I don't know where to start.

First, things first................................................................... I am drawing a blank here. Let's see.....I am still in a maniac organization frenzy which I can really only remedy with lots of organization things...alas I don't have them :P

Secondly, this nursemaid stuff gets a little old.

Thirdly, I feel for the hubby with this stone...seriously. I have tried to tell him I SOMEwhat know. I did push a fused forehead almost 15 inches to be exact out of my hooha. Private part pain is bad no matter who you are. Just saying.

Lastly, If you are a praying gal please pray for wealth for us......I mean health...in all seriousness. This being sick stuff.....is the PITTS.

Hubby had surgery yesterday. Not fun. It was to remove a kidney stone :P Need I say more.

I was woken up by Cheese talking in his sleep at 2 am. Went in felt he was hot brought him into our bedroom to take his temp. I got a face and chestfull of vomit. :P Yuck. He apparently now has a stomach virus. Bless his heart.

I go Monday to the OB to find out hopefully was the cause of the fetal demise as they call it :**( I will keep ya posted.

My others burned in a house fire :( I am also letting my little sister read them. I am buying them at the thirt store a book at a time :P If anyone ever runs into any let me know...LOL

Onto other things. I am sick....AGAIN. So I will be hit or miss probably. Houston is getting better. Poor Jeremy has to have a kidney stone surgery Tuesday. Does it ever end??

Houston is loving school. Yay, him! He loves loves loves it. He had a Vday party and dance today;) How cute?!

A month and no update...

Man, blogger just ate everything.

Here is the condensed version. I found out I was pregnant and lost the baby all within the month of Jan. I was due Aug 18. I have been crying and praying alot. I am a horomonal mess :P

Big Cheese started preschool at the elem school this week. He loves it!

Poor Hubby was out working on something on my car to the wee hours last night and is now paying for it with a migrane. He has been in bed most of the day and of course Houston wants to play his REAL electric guitar my parents got him while singing into his microphone :P Little turkey.

Houston funny- The hubby let ds watch a little bit of SpiderMan 3 the other day while I was gone. So now whenever he does something bad he says " Mommy, I wearing da Black suit" and gives me a how didn't you know that look. WTH???LOL

The hubby will probably be up all night tonight:P No rest for me:P

I am still trying to be as hoildayish as possible though. I decided to cook a big ol' dinner tonight. Ham, ranch potatoes, baked squash,stuffing, fried okra, mac and cheese and corn. It was sooooo dang yummy.

I couldn't even finish half a plate's worth..LOL I will post a pic, please excuse the bowls and plates I dumped them on when ready...I just wanted to have to pop the tops on to put away"P

It was delicious though:) And unhealthy:P

Ds got so much for Christmas , I am having a hard time figuring out where to put it all. Right now, it's all in clear plastic tubs:P I am going to purge some of his old stuff and give it to charity :)

All in all we had a pretty good hoilday. We kept it lowkey and focused on what's important :)

CHRISTmas fun....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we had a good Christmas. Houston was so very excited! We explained to him why we were celebrating Christmas. We watched Christmas movies and left out cookies and milk for ol' Ho Ho on Christmas eve after getting back from visiting my mom's family and hubby's twin brother and his family. It was fun!

Christmas morning, Houston got way to much stuff, but loved and was thankful for everything! He would exclaim " Wiggles EBD, I love the Wiggles." Etc.....It was cute :)

He has been in hog heaven playing with his stuff today. We bought him more educational stuff but of course he got lots of toys from family.

Well I have been slowly but surely getting over the funk that I have had. Praise God! Yay,me.

I have gotten all the gifts that are going to be gotten. Yay, me again. It it isn't bought..it isn't going to be :O

Houston is soooo stinking cute with his love for Santa. We went to see him last night and he was so stinking excited. So excited I got the WORLD"S WORST santa pic. He is looking to the side with Jack Nicholson eyebrows..the one I snapped with my camera....Santa is holding his head to the front...yeah..not good. I think I am going to take him to visit the other Santa and hope for the best. So when he wakes up from his nap...he is getting put back in his Christmas outfit:P Obessive much?

Houston tells us something new he wants Santa to bring him everyday. The last few days he has went on and on about dinosaurs and fire engines...so we have franically tracked some down:P The craziest thing he has wanted was a "Crying Baby." Yeah, not happening, little man. If he thinks Santa is bringing that, boy will he be disappointed!

All my presents are wrapped and ready to go. We have to head to my mom's Christmas thing tomorrow. It should be fun. A big ol' Lebanese Christmas. I will post some pics, if I manage to get any good ones. I so wish I already had my DSLR, but it ain't going to happen :P Oh well, patience is a virtue.

My house is clean for the most part...thank god. I can have a lazy Sunday, for ONCE. :O I so dread fighting the traffic to go see Santa again:P

I read all these wonderful blogs and get totally wrapped up and invested in them...then there is mine. I swear it has to be the most boring blog ever.

Am I really this boring? Or just misunderstood?LOL

I have lots that I haven't updated lately...so here is it goes.

Houston had his developmental testing. They told me that day that they felt just like everyone else alot of his problem boils down to his seizures...who knows. I was supposed to meet with the school board on the 13th but wouldn't you know....I came down with a bad lung infection I am still trying to fight, so instead, I end up hooked up to massive dosages of steriods and antibotics trying to keep myself out of hospital....only time will tell.

I haven't even gotten half of the presents bought and yet I am supposed to stay home...I may have to turn the reins over to the hubby :O

I am still waiting on a few boxes from ebay. So of the stuff is my little sister's present...I ordered her alot of old babysitter's club books, she has started to read them and they aren't published anymore :( I also have a little confession....I ordered a duplicate or two for me on some of my old favorites....Am I nuts? My reasoning....so I have them for the daughter I may have one day...LOL Yeah, I am nuts.

I am also waiting on my new lcd for my laptop to come....my wonderful hubby decided to fix my busted screen for christmas. Yay!!!!!! I miss having my own computer.

God, all these steriods are making me so hungry...I am about at the point of knawing off my arm...I need to lock up the fridge.

Houston's talking has really improved lately. Yeah, him. He is still behind but doing better. He was actually singing Jingle Bells in the store today and other people could tell what he was singing :) It's a small thing but hey it is still sweet.

Well, I better run, I will try to update later tonight with something witty and insightful :P

Just wanted to let everyone know why I have and will be hit or miss, Houston is about to be tested for a few things. He still has some delays and isn't progressing like we would all like. We are also having some attention span problems. One of the things he is about to be tested for is Autism.

I hate that it is only at three they really start to address your concerns...when everything you read tells you that it is better to address things early....WTH?

Anyways, I have been trying to spend as much time with my little man as possible.

Nothing will bond you to a new friend like a good case of food poisioning.....

Well, my best bud here in town moved to Plymouth, Mass. this last week. I am still super bummed about it. We are in touch constantly though and we are going to visit in Feb. :)

Anyway, through Houston's speech "preschool" I met another mommy who I hit it off with. Yay, us :) Anyway, after speech today we took the kiddos to Mickey D's. Neither of us ever eats there unless it is for something like a playdate. So we get the kiddos Happy Meals and we both got a little thing of nuggets....well well well. Both our stomachs start hurting at McDonalds but neither of us say anything because it is akward and we both are thinking it is because both us hardly ever eat fast food......well we decide to take the kiddos to B & N in a snazzy new shopping area....well wouldn't you know.....we get in there and it hits us. ALL modesty was set aside as we were rangling the kiddos and running to the bathroom. No sooner do we get out to the car...and the kiddos are getting sick :P

Yeah, I think we have forged a bond now...you can't almost poop your pants somebody and it not happen...LOL

Sorry if this grossed ya out. I am still feeling bad....poor Houston is doing better. He only had 2 nuggets. :(
