Just wanted to post a quick post...not much going on here in my neck of the woods!
Houston has been cracking me up. If he hears something he is going to remember it and it comes back and bites you. I honestly have no idea where he comes up with half the stuff he says. He really is making a lot of strides in his speech. Yay, him!
Went to Mass this weekend and I have to say the foot made the kneeler a little uncomfy. I actually had to cut out a few minutes early :O We had another priest than we regular have and he forgot to turn the thermostat down....yeah, huge boot, arm in a sling, packed church, Alabama humity...I was feeling slightly queasy :O
I still enjoyed it though! I always do!
This being stuck at the house and not being able to drive is killing me! Hey, at least I am saving on gas...LOL
My foot has been less swollen over the last two days but it is still hurting pretty bad :P I wish it would start feeling a little better. What I am not looking forward to is having to fly to Plymouth, MA with Houston in a boot and a sling. I need to call the airline and see if I can get some kind of escort or something.
I realize my blog looks a little different. I have been redoing it...I am not really happy with it now but haven't had the time to fix it. I am a perfectionist though so I can't leave stuff alone:P
I don't think I ever shared this. I will post a pic of my new Rosary a cyber friend made me :) My other one was wood and I got a shard of wood in my finger from it:P Only me!
Isn't it beautiful?????!! Oh another thing I am excited about is my mom is giving me a bracelet that has all her Catholic Medals on it! Can't wait!
I really wish we had a Catholic bookstore here but of course I live in a very non Catholic Area. I was actually told by a clerk at a Christian bookstore, "We don't carry Catholic material...this is a CHRISTIAN bookstore." Lady, last time I checked we were Christians. I hate that Catholicism is so misunderstodd :( We aren't bad people I promise ;)
I know my blog posts have been all over the place lately , I promise they will be better when I get the swing of things again. Houston is out of school for the summer and I have a broken limb, I don't stand a chance ;)

I'm sorry you're still miserable from the boot and sling! Praying for a speedy recovery.
Ah, didn't you know? Catholics aren't Christians! Geesh...(insert rolling eyes). All we can do is educate and be good role models. Your Rosary is beautiful!
p.s. thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate them...it's always nice to know you're not alone. I, too, have missed baby showers, 1st b-day parties and the like b/c I just can't do it. ((HUGS))
Thanks, Dana!
Yeah, people think weird things. I think a lot of it..is they are fed misinformation by their churches...maybe?? Who knows?
No biggie on the kind words! I am here if you EVER need to talk...especially since we are "Almost Cousins. ;)
What a beautiful rosary!
I don't know if I've ever come across anyone who thinks Catholics aren't Christians but I've heard about it. Maybe California is different? Who knows. Although my mom got that growing up, but that was the fifties.
Best of luck to you flying with your son in a boot and sling. Poor you. If I had to fly with my 3 year old in perfect health I'd be stressed out. Good luck. ;)
And your blog still looks good. I like the funny retro pictures on the right. You'll find something you will like. I've been thinking of changing mine a bit, but I haven't had the free time. I'd like to learn how to get one from a free website instead of the free themes from blogger. It will literally take me all day to figure it out. Maybe one day...
