My sweet Pappaw went to be with Jesus

My sweet pappaw took his last breath on 8:35 on Sunday night.

I had the priviledge of being able to be holding his hand.

I will write more tonight...but here is a slideshow of my wonderful pappaw...I was a pappaw's girl for sure.

Just a few quick updates...and some randomness.

First, Houston tball coach quit the other day. I need to call later and see if they are going to play the remaining games or not. They have one tonight so I need to figure things out quick:P

I have so much to do today yet what am I doing...sitting here checking my email,blogs,etc.

Had a lowkey mother's day...drove up a few hours to visit with our mom's and give them their gifts.Of course we got caught behind wrecks so I was on the road for 6 hours and 15 minutes...sheesh. I was on the road most of the day. The rain was terrible. My grandmother lives over a bridge...there was even a wreck on that bridge so I had to go the back way. Luckily the guy seemed fine.

Can I get you to pray for Brent and his family. His wife is in my moms group at church. He was over in Afiganistan (sp) and they found out he had a brain tumor. They flew him to Germany and they drilled some holes to relieve pressure and he is going to have the surgery at Walter Reed to remove the tumor. His wife is sooooo sweet and he has two young kids that are probably scared. Any prayers would be great!

Hm..randomness. I am almost through with RCIA...we finish up at the end of the month. I am so grateful to have met some wonderful people through the process!

I am way too invested.....way more than I EVER have been in American Idol. Who do you want to win? I was sooooo sad to see Allison go. I think she was great...and so young. I think she has a bright future in front of her.

My top pick is Adam though. Love love love love love him. It seems like it is either black or white. You love him or hate him. I <3 him. Maybe it is my theatre geekiness...who knows. He is so talented and so very easy on the eyes....**sigh**

I hope you all had a great mother's day weekend. Especially all the ones that sometimes get forgotten. It has to be hard to be missing your child or missing your mother. I prayed for you yesterday. I know it can be a very hard day.

Anyway, I know this post was all over the dang place...but what can I say..I lose my mind more daily :P

Nothing too exciting.....

Been a quite last few days for the most part. Had a doc appt on Friday. I had a throat infection I didn't know I had...:P Got more meds...fun times. Houston had a game that night...which I swear feels like it was 10 hours long. Yesterday, Jeremy let me stay home and rest and he took him to his morning game. I don't think Jeremy will do that again...LOL

Then, Houston came home and we played outside. This morning we got up and my big boy sat through the whole mass which was long because it was a First Communion mass in the big church...granted it was in the cry room but he did great. He even went up with me and was good while I took communion.

I was proud so I took him to Chuck E. Cheese and let him use a few tokens. He had fun and I needed something to tire him out..we have had horrible weather today....my doc would have a fit if he knew I had went into "Germ Central" but oh well ;)

I want to bang my head against a wall.

Man, today sucked eggs. I had to met with Houston's preschool. He makes the cut off by one day and I am getting pressure to let him go to Kindy. I think it is a BAD idea especially with his Autism. We shall see....it may get ugly:(

I was there about 2 hours and we got nothing done really so we will have another IEP meeting...this is pure h*ll for a control freak like me....**sigh**

Oh well, keep you posted :P Not that anyone even reads this dang thing:P

5 Things I want my child to know.....

1. I will love him no matter what. There is nothing he could ever do that woul make me love even the tiniest bit less.

2. My life is better because of him. I can't imagine my life without him. God made the perfect child for me.

3. I wouldn't change his Autism even if I could...because it makes him him. I wouldn't trade any of my little mans quirks even if I could.

4. God loves him even more than Mommy and Daddy. We thank God every night that we were chosen to be your parents. Not sure what we did to deserve you but we will always try to do what is best for you.

5. I wish I was healthier. It makes me a little sad that he will never remember me as not being sick..but I think it causes me to savor everyday just that extra bit more :)

Chuck E. Bob's eyes freak me out and Tales from the Communion line

An Easter recap :)

We will start with Saturday. Saturday morning I had to be at church to practice for the Easter Vigil that night. I get up and leave Houston with Jeremy. Practice goes well.

I come home and hubby is acting a little sheepish. I notice his hair is shorter.
I think worst case scernio I will have to help him even out the back or something. He turns to the side and I am speechless. He has a half dollar size area where you can see his scalp :O He then asks me if I can fix it. After, I get my wits about me, I assure him even though I used to work as a Receptionist in a salon, I can not fix it. He puts on his hat like a trooper and we head out for the day. We want to make sure we take Houston to see the Easter Bunny, who Houston informs everyone is named "Chuck E. Bob" Okey Dokey....whatever you say.

So we get there and wait in line FOREVER. Houston is smiling and calling out "Chuck E. Bob, I love you!" He is also giving a way cute wave.

We think that last year was a thing of the past....he is going to love him this year.
Well, we get almost to the front and one of the helpers says they were out of something and takes off running to get something, stating that they were out of whatever. She runs down the ramp and is almost to where she needs to be when it happens...She face plants on the floor. Everyone is silent. You heard gasps and then silence. She was a trooper though. She is up in a blink of and eye and screams out "I am ok" and then runs to where she needs to go. The other helper being so startled has spilt her drink everywhere....yeah.

So anyway, we get up there and Houston is starting to have "that" look on his face. He is panicking. So anyway we are there and Jeremy is walking Houston up to the bunny. I have my camera ready so I can have more than one pic and Houston loses it.
He gets stiff as a board when Jeremy tries to put him in the bunny's lap. He says" No, get me away from Chuck E. Bob. I can't see his eyes...he is freaking me out!" Then wrangles lose and is crawling toward me on his hands and knees while moaning....Then he gets to me and starts to tear up and tells the bunny. "I no love you Chuck E. Bob."

We get over to the side...he gathers himself...and tells the bunny that he does love him and he was sorry.

So we leave and head to the hair place. Houston and I are in the front of the salon, hubby goes to the back. They start to cut the hubby's hair. Houston says " Oh, no what is her doing to mine daddy's hair!" She is not cutting it so well!" "She doesn't know what her is doing." "She is cutting off all his nice hair" I took this as a time to tell Houston not to play with scissors......LOL

Hubby finishes up. Houston keeps asking him " Are you upset....it will be okay." LOL

So we get home and play for a little while. I then start to worry about something that they had said earlier at practice..."Whatever you do, don't drop the Chalice." Considering the chalice has Christ's blood in it, I start to freak out!

So anyway, we get there...and my bladder is filling all the stress of the worrying and I pee about 900 times. We file in for the mass which is going to last for over 2 hours and we are on the front row of our hug church. We begin and it hits me hard. I am about to pee in my pants. Oh my, I then internally freak out. I know I can't hold it. I then decide I have to tell my sponsor. I end up sneaking out of the totally dark church and sneaking back in. Crisis averted. So then the people being baptized have to kneel on the alter. It is made of marble. We had to kneel for about 5-10 minutes which doesn't sound like a long time...but it is. Long enough for your legs to start to twitch and your leg to fall asleep.

I made it up....LOL We make it to the font. I am baptized...We do all the other stuff. It goes well.

It time for communion. I don't drop the chalice. All that worrying for nothing.I was the first person to go. The line was forever. The ran of wine before the last guy gets there...he says "You are out of wine, crack open another bottle" Nice dude...not quite the time or the place.

We have reception afterwords. I get home at almost 12. Jeremy has been with Houston from about 6- midnight. Jeremy got a taste of the Big Cheese first hand. He had to go out to the garage to get something. Came in and Houston was trying to remove Nemo from his tank...he had poured all his food in and was worried about him being in the dirty water:P Jeremy had to empty the tank and refill it.

Anyway, we woke up the next morning and Jeremy didn't feel good so Houston and I made the choice to head out by ourselves. We had made the rounds and visited the families. It was very fun.

Easter was wonderful! I am sorry it is over :*( It is probably my favorite Holiday.

UfO's fly. They crash.They crash in Roswell. Armed inforcers came.His name started with a T...or an H like me.They crashed into Roswell. I saw Phoenix lights.They were flying over Arizona. We saw it.It had 8 circles. It was a triangle shaped alien.The aliens crashed, we saw them. They turned around...and saw Betty Cash.She saw them aliens and then had to go the hospital.She was got her DNA by the aliens.Aliens got different DNA.

It burned her. Then there was a tornado of aliens. They could fly.It went over the back of Arizona. It was a an object. It flied over evil. They was good people.

Armed inforcers saw an object in a space field.They heard backwards talking. They said that couldn't be an air ballon. I know it. An air ballon is dark.We said why did aliens crashed.The armed inforcers didn't know.They didn't know what the object was.

They said "Uh, oh." Aircrafts started falling.It got dark in the sky.It disappeared. We saw burning.It was nonesense.It was a bunch of aliens in a circle. So they could see better. They saw an object from our side. It was crashing.

Another thing was snow was flying in that sky. Why that? Roswell, Mexico..armed inforcers detect and saw an object.They never seen them again.Anymore.They saw some objects.It looked like bouncing things that they could control.

Betty Cash saw an object in the air.They was flying.They looked like they were bouncing and crashed. It got so loud. It startied getting so loud.They were flying in the sky and then crashed in Roswell on the ground.

I know it crashed.It's not a owl.It's not a big foot.Why those monsters run like this.They run and run and run.The monster got on the house.She screamed then go home.

I saw bouncy things crash. I crashed in Roswell.It was an explosion.What am I talking about? Where is our keys?I have them here.

Ball games and Blue Angels....

We had a big weekend ...it was busy busy busy.

On Friday Houston had tball practice. It was the longest hour of my life:P Then we had to go get cleats. It was such the production. I need a 13.5 wide. Yeah, IMPOSSIBLE to find. He feet were too wide for the baseball cleats so we had to go with the soccer cleats. Oh well.

Anyway, so Houston had a friend spend the night on Friday to. I thought it would mellow him out. No such luck :P

The next day we had the opening day for Tball and Tball pictures..I will have to share the pics when we get them. They will be interesting for sure:P Yeah.

On to the game...he is by no means the MVP. We count it a success if he will stand where he is supposed to for most of the inning.

So after the two innning game that felt like it was 10 hours long and was beyond funny to watch, we went to the an airshow. The Blue Angels came to town. It was soooooo packed. Houston had a ton of fun. He loves that kind of thing. It is right up his alley.

We were so tired when we got done. Pooped.

We watched some stuff on tv as a family. We love the educational stuff.

Then yesterday I had a Palm Sunday retreat. I have such a busy week with church this next week. I have to be there onTuesday, Thursday, Friday and twice on Saturaday and then Sunday. I may just sleep there :) LOL The only bad thing is no childcare on Thursday and Friday night.Oh well.

Anyway, after Saturday I can take communion. Yay, me. It will be weird after all this tiime to be able to take it and not just get a blessing.

The weather outstide is NASTY...it's sooooo windy. It feels like fall. I am worried and waiting until the last minute to get Easter clothes...I hate not knowing whether to go with cool weather or warm weather clothes.

Also can I rant for a second. Why, is it sooooooo HARD to find Sunday dresses that aren't sleeveless or strapless. It is the bane of my existence. Seriously. I hate that there are literally two choices in a whole store that have sleeves.

I will write more later...sorry for the rambling..LOL

The Mumps...seriously...

We thought I had just been having issues with the salivary glands...infections. It hasn't been clearing up. This has been going on since like October...super painful.

Well it looks like after the preliminary stuff...still waiting on a blood test...that no it is the MUMPS...which is viral...which is why the antibotics...haven't been helping...

Yeah, the joy of having a compromised immune system is the gift that keeps on giving!

It's like Christmas 365 days a year. :P

My mom is flying up to visit fam..I am totally jealous but super excited for the next two weeks of church. :)

Got to see the inside of our new church last night...it is breathtaking...**sigh**

I about wet my pants everytime I see this..so I thought I would share...don't blame me if you have a weak bladder ;)

Well, I haven't updated in a while because I have been sick sick sick...not fun.

Well, I went to the doc last week and ended up getting put in the hospital trying to get some of my infections cleared up. I am still in some pain( cut me some slack, if this makes no sense...painkillers can be life saver :) )

I still feel nasty but I am getting better I think. I have a week work of appointments...I literally have one everyday..same things next week. Not fun.

I was super bummed to miss Mass this past Sunday.

I am glad I am getting better though because I have some really exciting things coming up as we concluded Lent. I can't WAIT until Easter :)
Sooooo excited.

I need a pretty, and somewhat cheap dress for Easter...any ideas?!

I am on the lookout for Houston and outfit too. He is bigger so I have problems finding him outfits that I think look age apporiate. I am keeping my eyes open. Any ideas for him?

Anyway, I will post more tomorrow after my appt at 11:00. The pain pill is starting to kick in...but I knew if I didn't take it I was never getting to sleep :P

A few of my favorite things....

Okay, first things first. I was soooo very excited that I was going to get to do the Rite of Election at church this past Sunday......pumped...then we were going to go to Birmingham for a blessing from the Bishop..I have literally looked forward to this for years...the antipaction has been building the last few months....

Well on Saturday, they kept saying it was going to snow...it never snows here..they always threaten snow...so I sat out my cute outfit, accessories etc...and went to sleep with the same kind of anticipation you would have on Christmas Eve....

I was still in denial called all the people I could at church, my sponser etc...then I realized we had ****gasp**** ice and I knew that it was going to be impossible...

Soooo sad, it was like Santa not coming. I missed Mass. As did some others and the group didn't get to see the bishop :*( Sad....I tell you...

I so hope we are in our new church by Easter.



Okay, on to other things..... randomness....

Ten things that make me ....well me :

1.I love to read...I have been reading since I was 3 and have always loved it.
2.I also love History...I am a huge history buff.... I devour books on tudor History, etc.
3.I have an addiction to TV Seasons on DVD, they are the perfect length for my treatments that I have to get...we get through a whole season.
4.I am fascinated by religions....I think they are all facsinating.
5.I also can not turn my eyes away from those kiddie beauty pageants....it's like a train wreck...I am horrified but can't look away.
6.I think I am part chewbaca...I could so grow and rock a unibrow.
7.I love tatoos...I think you either love them or hate them...I love them. I soooooo want some on my feet....is this weird?
8.I wish I lived closer to family.
9.I admit I think about especially the last baby I lost a lot even though I know she was never meant for an earthly life...I still wonder how I would have been as a girl mommy.
10.I wish I could see my mom's side of the family more.....I miss my crazy lebanese family....or as I told my kindie teacher " My Lesbian Family ;) "

Houston has started "Viva Viagra" :P Yeah, not cool.

I keep trying to tell him it is a trashcan song but he isn't getting it.:P Nice.

Only my kid...I offically hate those commericals even more .


I am kinda bummed. I am going to have to miss Moms group at church tomorrow morning..which is bad enough but I am also going to have to miss watching Fireproof ***pout pout :( I hate doc appts. In good news those some more of my meds are on Walmart's 4 dollar list..yay me...gotta get my prescripts sent over there.

I so dread driving to the doc tomorrow but you got to do what you gotta do I guess.

The hubby and are trying to cut corners during this touch economic times. It is hard but worth it. I know I have always been very frugal but you don't realize how much the little 4 and 5 dollar purchases add up. :P They do and fast!

The hubby has also started eating more leftovers. Yay, him! He has always been anti-leftovers....I have brought him over to the dark side ;)

Sorry this is like the dullest blog post ever but I am tired and it's what is on my mind ;) Poor you. I am not sure anyone reads this thing anyway.

I need to post some pics but that would require taking some :P I usually take a ton not so much lately..not even sure why.

Anyway, hope life is treating everyone well.

We are trucking along here.

I am excited to report that RCIA is ticking along. I can take communion soon! Yay me! I am also pumped to say we should be in our new beautiful church soon. It is sooooooo pretty. We will be in it by Easter Vigil :) Can't wait.

This is what Houston told me and I couldn't agree more. I loved the circus just as much as I did when I was Houston's age.

I have to admit I would love to travel from city to city and be in the circus :) Is something wrong with me!?

I have decided I am going to answer at LEAST five "deep" questions every week...in an effort for you all to get to know me better and to shake things up!Feel free to answer them in the comment section or on your blog as well!

1.Do you think God has a sense of humor?

Absolutely! We are created in his image. I think we all have a "God is getting a laugh out of this" moment! I know I have plenty.


2. How can we love our neighbors when we don't love ourselves?

This is tricky. I know I actually have more issues with loving myself than I do other people. I TRY to see God in others...but have a hard time seeing him in myself.I don't know why I judge myself by unattainable standards I would never judge others by. I have always had issues with self esteem. This is something I have been praying and working on. God loves us all the same. God loves my child as much as he loves me, he loves my friends as much as he does me, he loves the guy who broke into my car as MUCH as he loves me. Something to remember for sure.

3.What was a defining moment in your life.

I think life is a series of defining moments. Four I think of immediately are:

Getting sick. The day the doctor told me there was a tumor in my chest, I knew my life would be forever changed. I never imagined the path my life has taken. But I take the good with the bad and it is brought me here...so I don't regret it.

Finding out I was pregnant. I was so happy but so scared. The doctors had told me over and over again not to get pregnant for a year. I know see it was perfect in God's time. I feel so very blessed to have been given the gift of motherhood. There aren't words to describe the love you feel for your child.

Finding out my son was autistic. It wasn't necesssary the path I would have chosen or that I invisoned for my child but it makes him him. If God could take the autism totally away I wouldn't want him to. There is a reason for everything and I trust in God's plan. I also feel very lucky that God gave me such a wonderful support system. Houston is fearfully and wonderfully made. He isn't imperfect, just different :)

My last miscarriage. I think the reason this one hit me the hardest...was because I was farther along. We had seen her little heart. I was getting a belly....I was past the worrying stage and in the safe zone. I think in some ways it made it harder to know her sex. We later found out that she had a complete trisomy 8 and it is always fatal. This made me realize from the moment she was concieved that she was one of God's special angels. She was never meant to have an earthly life. That helps tremendously. I think of her and the other early pregnany losses as much my children as I do Houston. I think about them all the time. Wondering how different my life would be with 4 kids 4 and under but then realize that wasn't God's plan and trust in his timing, his love and knowledge.

4.If you could go back in time and make a different choice would you?

I can honestly say no.

Wisdom. I think that if you have wisdom then all the other things love, God, understanding, family etc falls into place. So I pray that Houston will always wisdom:)

I loved going as a little girl. I can remember my mom would buy me the book that had the clowns in it and I would be too scared to open it. I hate clowns! LOL

The big thing they got was my GPS or as Houston says "Our GRS" LOL

Of course we had to eat the losses and had to pay for a window. Fun times I tell you.

It does look like they may have found the gps in a pawnshop I hope so.


What kills me is that they had to see Houston's carseat in the back and my bible was in the seat where the window was broken. Apparently, that didn't stop them :P

The hubby is vacumming the car for the 100 time...I got all cut of driving it home >:I

I had to change up the blog. I don't blame people for not visiting...heck, I didn't want to visit...I wanted to drive nails up my arms...before logging on. My problem is :

Seriously, though..I feel like I am the MOST boring blogger on the planet.

I think I am pretty dang funny in real life..I was even voted class clown in high school. But I don't think it translates well on the computer.

I think maybe because you can't tell a person's a tone.

I so wish I could hold everybody action with my fantastic wit but alas....it ain't going to happen.

I need to work on self confidence I think...it is such the disappoint to look in the mirror and be like I don't really look like that do I??? guess so....Time can be cruel I tell you!

I do have a super cute little man, even if he always looks like he is in need of a bath...**think Pigpen from Charlie Brown**. He is super funny...and already a 4 year old stand up comic.:) He brightens my day everyday:) I truly feel like I won a kiddo lottery.

Houston funnies...

Houston is brutually honest.

On my birthday this year, he asked my age. Then looked so serious and asked what happened. I asked what he meant....he replied " You got so fat and look like a teacher."

Okay, what does look like a teacher mean in his eyes?? I have no idea.

He then told the hubby a few days later that he was getting a fat butt :O Ego Check...LOL

People were asking him at Christmas what Santa was bringing them...he told my little sister....."New Teeth" :*( She is about to get braces. I felt bad...she laughed it off.

He told my cousin Justin with his crazy lebanese curls he needed.....a "Comb".


Yeah, fun times.


He is so innocent in everything he says though...it can be cute.

Last night he went on and on and said he wanted to watch the bouncey show...we had no idea what he was talking about...he then told us..." You know the USO show...they crashed and bounced...LOL

We will put him in our lap and he watches an educational show til he falls asleep...he loves it...LOL

Well imagine my suprise at Christmas when my wonderful brothers got me a little mini white acer aspire. I love love love it. It is the perfect size.

I was so pumped to take it around town with me today and low and behold my car wouldn't start. Hopefully, it is just the battery.

Okay, lets see on the 4th the hubby and I had our one year anniversary..we celebrated by watching Hanocock on demand....lol. We are so excitiing.

We have went through a lot in the 6 years we have been married. It was never in the plans to have major life altering surgery in the first few months of marriage :P

In other news still fighting off the sickies. I have been fighting the same infections for months....not fun. Going to the doc tomorrow and my treatment is the next day...so hopefully, I will feel better soon :)
