Okay, I said I was going to not disapper I did. Lie number 1.
I said I was going to keep up with a new blog I started... Lie number 2.

See, I am a chronic liar.

I like to blog. But I feel like my life is a wee bit dull to blog about. I mean I realize treatments, medicines, hospital stays and bills aren't exactly riveting stuff. My blog is like one big sleeping pill. I realize I don't live a super exciting life. ;)

I was ATTEMPTING to start a new blog, because I figured...New life...new blog....but big failure. So here I am again....LOL hey it's to hard to teach a old dog, new tricks.

Lets see recent RIVETING updates ;)

Been okay healthwise....meaning, I am on the right combo of meds, but still have issues....like that's news to anyone ;)

Had surgery 2 months ago, went well, my gallbladder was full of stones and had attached itself to my intestine. Sounds super fun and not painful right? Really it was a prettty easy surgery to recover from...hardest part is trying to figure out what foods I can no longer eat. Plus side I have lost about 35 lbs of my almost 50 lbs of predisone weight, yes you read that right....I was a hoss ;)

Divorce wise, still divorced. I haven't ran off and got married or anything. We are still friends which is good for Houston. I am now dating again. Dating a great guy, so my life is pretty happy.

I will update more later, I promise. I like blogging for myself as well, because it's almost like a diary... but hey I am scared of commitment ;)

Life has just been busy. Had surgery last week, so I got some down time on my hands ;) So I thought I would blog.

Houston is about to start school, should be interesting. Looks like they got a great group of kids in his class. It should be a fun year.

We have done lots of fun things this summer like disney world. Houston loved it, 10 days of fun!

On the weekends I don't have Houston, I try and fill with live music and water of some kind, usually the lake ;)

I miss the little booger so much while he is gone.

I will update more later with pictures and stuff just wanted to let you know i was alive ;)

I love the circus, even though I am SCARED to DEATH of clowns, but I love my little dude so much...I bit the bullet and we got front row tickets..WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Just had a ton on my plate with the divorce and all. We also moved back to where all our family is, I am actually living in an apartment off my parents house, super cool I know.

But it is great because
* I can save money
* I have help when I am sick, which I have been having some issues with.
* Houston gets to see his family often.

Not super cool, but it was the best choice for us.

Houston is doing great in school. He loves it most of the time, and has a girlfriend he is sure he will marry.

Weekends without Houston are hard but I ususally go watch my little brother play or go watch a movie, or just destress.

They are putting the finishing touches on the apartment and as much as I love the parentals, I need a little more "me" space. Excited to decorate it. It's not huge but enough. A huge wall in closet, a bath, kitchen area, living room and two bedrooms. Not fancy fancy but hey, I am so blessed to have parents whoe were willing to help me out with everything from a place to live, to helping with Houston, and just loving on us :)

Lately, I am just working on making me the best I can be. Houston has adjusted as well as can be expected.

I am alive. Just don't have a computer. I have moved and don't have Internet yet. I am in the process of a divorce, don't want to elaborate any more than that, luckily Jeremy and I are able to remain friends during this time. Houston is the priority. We are trying to make the transition as easy as possible for him.

He has done pretty well so far. There have been a few meltdowns and man are they terrible :*(

Just wanted ya'll to know healthwise, I am pretty good,all the new lupus meds are somewhat doing the trick. Had a bad cold, ear infection and upper respitory infection last week, but I am getting better.

I have my parents to help me as well so that helps, and it helps keep their mind of my grandmother's passing :( She will have been gone 2 months on the 17th :(

Been a crappy last couple of months. Keep us in your prayers.

Sorry I have been MIA, I didn't disappear on on purpose. Just spent way more days than I could ever have wanted too, almost 2 weeks in the big house, otherwise known as the hospital, or Brookwood Medical Center.

I had been feeling bad for about a week and then totally stopped tinkling, bp through the roof and swollen like a macy thanksgiving day float. Miserable.

Went and and of course was promptly detained. The first days were filled with lots of pain meds for the bone pain, that was making me want to hack my legs off amoung other things, with a chainsaw.

The first day I was puking my brains out from pain *tmi* but hey,I am being honest.

Then my doctor came to my rescue and the pain pump was a life saver. Literally kept me from wanting to perform surgery on myself.

Had to adust to lots of new meds, never fun and have even more to start after a whole 'nother shebang of testing.

My kidneys are working a little better but still have some issues, they are leaning more towards a lupus flare than anything, as to what started to snowball rolling down the hill.

I finally was pardoned and am still in some pain and still have issues but resting at my mom and dad's. They are closer to the doctor, they have a pool and they can help so it's a win win situation.

Just wanted you to know I was alive and will try and keep up to date on you all's comings and goings!

51. I would wear vintage clothing every day if I could.
52. I would also wear a fasicinator in my hair every day, but I may get looks around her.
53. I don't really feel "at home" in Alabama though I have always lived here.
54. I would love to photograph the birth of someone's baby, or even just be in the room.

56. I almost want to get plugs in my ears, the smallest gauge but I think people would flip out.
57. My grandmother was an identical twin, and I am married to a twin, have an aunt that was a twin, and they actually even heard two heartbeats when my mom was pregnant with me at first...tons of twins.

1. My middle name is Marie, it is a name that almost all the females on my mom's side of the family share.

2. I have one son but have been been pregnant 4 times, in 5 years. The last pregnancy was a little girl, and I was a few months pregnant and I still think about "her" all the time.

3. Her is/would have been Lillith.

4. My moms side of the family is middle eastern, lebanese...I went to school and told my kindy teacher that my mom's mother was a lesbian.....hey it's an easy mistake to make!

5. I love anything british, totally addicted to british tv.

6. I have a tattoo on my stomach that will never again see the light of day.

7. I am catholic, I love being catholic :) I love all the tradition and order as well.

The big cheese, Houston Chance is offically headed to big school.Not sure when he went from the cute little baby on the slideshow to the little boy in the cap and gown. But he has grown up. Seems like yesterday and forever ago that he was that small.

Other than that, and me feeling under the weather not much has been going on, he has been home from school so we are playing and doing some school stuff so he retains everything , or most of it :)

Man, he is hyper :P

First off I am not a hermit I promise.

Just feeling NASTY.

I had been feeling pretty yuck, but was bound and determined I was going to my 10 yr reunion, ( yes, I will add pics later in this post) well was having some issues with swelling in my face especially.

Which only got worse after consuming a couple of "adult beverages".

Well on Monday I was feeling way way way bad, was way swollen and wanted to cut my joints off with a hacksaw.

So I was just trying to hold out until my appt on Wed., where it looks like my kidneys have been the major culprit all along. As I only have one that works that is a problem:P

So got get a few more tests to see what all is going on, not really pleased with the first one where my levels or all the nastiness where so high it couldn't even be read :P So we shall see! I'll keep you posted, mention this on facebook and I will hunt you down ;)

Anyway, in other news everything around here is breaking and it is driving me NUTS. It was the washer last week, then the dishwasher and now the air conditioner?? Serisously, you are 5 yrs old. So I am sitting her typing with no air, needless to say I am about to go run errands!

Please forgive the swollen face ;P

I had a mild freak out today when I was informed I may have to get my treatments, which I get at least every 21 days in the hospital again. Such the pain in the butt, and it cost so much more. They already cost anywhere from 10,000-12,000 a treatment(every 2-3 weeks)Depends on shortage etc.

I literally felt sick to my stomach.It is so much easier to have it done at home.Yes there are times when I am barfing or my joints are hurting that I wish I was in the hospital but it's rare.

Keeping my fingers crossed that my wonderful homehealth nurse can keep giving them.

I hate having to go in the hospital for things like that because it also brings me in contact with so many more germs and I stay so much sicker :(

All seems well now, praise god, lets hope it stays that way.

And I am one of the older kids in the grade. I will be 29 this year, only one more year left in my twenties. When did that happen.

In some ways because of the health stuff it feels like I was in school 200 years ago, but I sure as heck don't feel a whole lot different than I did I 21,25,and the list goes on.

Sheesh.

My reunion is Saturday, the bright side is my husband graduated 6 years before me, so he was been out 16 years! LOL

As you can tell I was just as weird then ;)

Another day, another doctor

I swear I am just going to move into a hospital. This time it wasn't actually for me, so that was a plus in some ways, but it was for Houston, big minus :(

He had been having allergies for the last day or so, just sneezing, basically hay fever, started back giving him his singular and all better.

Well yesterday afternoon he was itching his ear and it looked red, after playing outside.

Well I put hydrocortisone on it and gave him Ibpropuen and he went to bed. Well, I went to get the booger out of bed this morning and his ear was so swollen it looked fake. The inside part looked like thw world's biggest shrimp both in color and size and the rest just looked like wax.

So I took him in and after they all got over the sheer size of the fake looking ear, they decided,he had gotten bitten my something and had an allergic reaction, then it started to swell within the canal etc and now the skin and ear are infected, in literally less than 24 hours :(

So lots of fun, nasty tasting medicines for the little guy.

Only us, and of course I have NO IDEA what he was bitten by :P

Just wanted the one or two people who may still read this thing, know that I am still ticking.

This time of year is just tough for me healthwise. So I can venture out and wear a Michael Jackson mask or stay home, so a lot of the time I stay home.

Sometimes, I just say forget about it and go out but often pay for it later.

Just gotta be careful this time of year because a lot goes around.

Breathing issues have been the issue of late as achy joints have been. Man, oh man, there is a reason I have went through like 4 heating pads in the last year. I <3 them!

Anyway, that was just my poor attempt at excusing myself ;)

Seriously, I need to make it a point to update this thing, daily or at least a couple of times a week.

But I mean how fasicinating could you find treatments and doctor's appointments?? Not very.

I just know that today, I am super grateful for a blessing I don't deserve...being a mother to a sweet boy.

I can remember being in the hospital after they had removed my heap of a tumor( otherwise know as Fred) and coming out of the fog they had had me in for about 5 days....and feeling so sick and holy crap this hurts....and what are all these tubes coming out of my body...and one of the first things I remember Jeremy saying was hopefully one of the next times you are in the hospital, it is to bring a baby home. And I can remember thinking, no way, as the doctors had already threatened me body harm if I got pregnant within the next 18 months...well wouldn't you know, I got pregnant with my little guy 6 weeks later, and then he was almost 6 weeks early so people seem to think Jeremy snuck into ICU, I promise he didn't ;P LOL

Being Houston's mother is such a blessing, and one I often feel I don't deserve. He is pretty great :)

I worked the pole like a pro...

Sadly, it was an iv pole so no money was involved ;)

I swear I would love to calculate the hours I have spend hooked up it would be like a million hours...or so it seems.

It is kinda funny and kinda sad that Houston thinks it is normal.

He thinks everyone has their own nurses, all mommies have their own scarfs (scars) and that every day is treatment day.

He even tells the nurses he can give me my medicine, he probably could...LOL

Well week before last I was sick, like I wanted to run into traffic sick, they tried to force my hand and made the hospital not seem so bad, they know all to well how I try and weasel out ;) Well I decided instead that because Houston was going on Vacation the next week that I would just go to my docs office everyday for the IV meds, because the home nurse couldn't do them because what they were.

It seemed like a good idea.

For the first day.

Then it was a little more suckage everyday. It is a yuck drive even when you feel good so it was not fun, but the nurses are the best port accessers ever, I almost want to kiss em' hardly anyone gets in in good the first time, because the port is so old, and trying to go bad , pesky thing!

So they used a lovely 1.5 needle , after I about had to go change my pants...it was all uphill from there :)

Then figured out that one of my favorite nurses from my floor at the hospital is now working at the office...win, win :)

Anyway, I felt a little better last week and the childlessness helped, to be honest.

Then start feeling way yuck again so I wanted to form tackle my nurse in a good way when she got here.

Then she told me one of my meds was being no longer made..so I preceded to panic but then calmed down when I realized their was a comparable med.

Yay, me.

I know this is probably like the most boring blog post ever, but hey just need to get it out every now and then.

Lets pray for feeling "my" normal :)

Was sickly last week.

This week I did get to visit some with friends which was lovely, not lovely because my baby was going to the beach :(

Today I get to ....hold on wait for it.....CLEAN.

Houston was in awe of meeting his idol. He could barely speak and if you know him you know that is a big thing ;)

Not easy to find there is like a 10 page thread on ILP, not seeing that happening. A photog was taking some mentorees and I wasn't in that bunch :P

I know I am not going to go in business. I won't trust me. I just want to be able to take the best pics for my family...and maybe some friends...no money exchanging hands...which I think put some people off.

Also, I have no desire to do studio stuff...I am a lifesytl'er' all the way.

Any ideas on how to get a mentor???

Hope everyone had a great Easter ours was nuts. We originally were going to go up to visit my parents/grandma on Saturday so we could do mass and the egg hunt on Sunday and then J's family on Sunday.

Well went to leave on Saturday and my car water pump was out...so I was carless all day. Still wasn't done by Sunday so J had to drop us at church and go work on the car some more :(

Got it working and we made the rounds with the family yesterday.

Houston got some goodies and then my parents bought him a nintendo DS. He is spoiled rotten.

He got a big boy haircut and he almost doesn't seem like the same kid...he has had the bowl cut for so long I barely recognize him ;)

Figured I would go appliqued....I resisted the smocking..it was hard but he is too old. Sad but true.

He has lost alot of weight and could honestly wear the size 3 but I got him a size 4. I think preschool is about the limit to wear it though.

The thing about the south is monogramming, smocking and appliquing is huge.

He is the ONLY kid in his class that doesn't have his name on his backpack ( only because it wouldn't fit ;P )

Everything is very"cutesy" for lack of a better word...here is his little backpack

All you non southerners are probably cringing...definately regional!If he was a girl he would have a bow the size of a softball on his little noggin'

Yay, the pesky teeth fragments have been cleaned out. It is surgery sore but in terms of OMG pain it feels soooo much better.

So glad it is on less procedure to worry about.

It wasn't without drama though, the nurse stuck herself with the needle from my port though :( Lucky because I get blood products my blood is tested for stuff all the time so she has nothing to worry about, but I know she is probably still freaking out.

Oh and I FINALLY found my photoshop cd :) The bad boy is from 2004...so its ancient but hey at least I found it ;)

Still alive, just busy and still yuck.

I am literally sick ALL winter, thank God spring is around the corner.

I was supposed to have the tooth fixed last week. Went in and they said that they were going to have to fish fragments out so I would HAVE to be put under, so I will have all the greatness next week, on the 24th. Fun times.

The weather is yuck. Tomorrow Houston and I are going on a play date, which serves a few purposes.....First, to tucker him out, Second to give my friend Christy her pictures and lastly, to visit with her before she pops :)

In other news wouldn't you know that both of my computer are on the fritz...neither wants to charge, it's from sitting with them in my lap...whoops.

A blog I regularly read...Kelly' Korner..has a "Show us Your Life" Friday.

This past Friday was show us what you collect.

So without further ado here are some things I hoard.

I love ANYTHING vintage but my two greatest loves are glassware and stationary.

I love love love vintage Corelle and vintage Pyrex. I use it EVERYDAY.

I love love the corelle with the blue flowers...it reminds me of my mom and grandmother cooking me up some good ol' veggies as a kid. Love them :)

Another love of mine is vintage paper. I have always loved to write letters. Who doesn't love to get one. I am lucky enough that I correspond regularly with friends who live overseas so I get to use my paper goodness. If it is vintage I love it even more.

Only kidding.....well kinda.

Because of all the infection I have mouth ulcers...you are thinking....weinie...but I don't think you know the scope.

If you have immune issues you are prone to viral infections.

One is the strain of herpes/shingles that can grow sores in your ears, mouth etc.

Right now, I have ulcers in my mouth, I stopped counting at 22 this morning :( They are down my throat..

But the worst is the skin is breaking down and falling off under my tongue :(

I really hope it clears up because if I have an active outbreak they can't fix the tooth :(

I wish it would result in a smaller size pants but not going to happen since I am taking huge doses of steriods :P Of course :P

I know some people think it is an oxymoron ;)

Just curious. I like in a conservative area and I have had this discussion many times....People have told me I am a little more liberal than most :P I would agree....

Here is some of my insight...and I totally admit it may be flawed....but I am putting it ALL out there. If you agree, disagree let me know. It WILL NOT hurt my feelings I promise.

I love to discuss religion...which I know is TABOO ;)

Now let the rambling commence ;)

I think a lot of people think of liberal as being saying killing babies is okay,etc.....to me that isn't what it means.I personally know that I could never kill my child, even in the situation I was in were the baby had no chance at life.

I think I am more liberal in these areas :

I support helping the unfortunate,I feel that it's HUGELY important. Faith without good works is dead...

I don't think Jesus would tell people they don't deserve/need healthcare..because they can't afford it. I am not saying that the healthcare reform we are getting is 100% right, it isn't but some reform needs to be done.I don't see how people can't think the current system is broken. But I be biased with all that I have seen.....

I think that Jesus was an advocate for helping the unfortunate :) So I think he would be fine with healthcare reform. :)

I don't think he would be good with dishonest people...screwing the system...but that goes for everyday life as well.

As for the gay marriage issue......I know this is a HUGEEEEEEEEEEE hot button issue for A LOT of people....here is my two cents:

I don't think God hates gay people.

Jesus is a tolerant God...I think you are born gay, I don't think it is a choice...which I know a lot of people would disagree with.......but it's just my view..BUT i realize A LOT of you do think it is a choice. I just know I have NO choice on what type of man I am attracted to...so I would think it would be the same for others???

I don't think any one's bedroom habits are for me to judge...... I would never live the lifestyle but God loves us all and I don't think that living a gay lifestyle is going to send you to hell...that is just me, and I may be wrong?!

People say it is unnatural, because a child can't come from the union but I would argue that birth control is a sin because it does the same thing....but that could be the catholic in me talking ;)

I try and love everyone,as Jesus said love my neighbor :)

I don't feel comfortable judging....because ultimately it doesn't matter what WE think.I am not divine nor do I have divine insight...kwim?

I think that ANY sin is a stumbling block that puts you farther away from God....which is never good....so I feel like my judging is just as determental to me...personally.

I think regardless of your sin if you are truly sorry and ask for forgiveness he forgives....do you think there are any unforgivable sins?? I really am curious :)

That being said...I don't think it means that we have a constant get out of jail card and you can keep doing the same thing.....it means you are repentant...and sorry.

I feel like while I don't agree with things others are engaging in I should probably try to be tolerate. To still give them love. To try and make them "know" God...I may be the only person who has reached out to them in that way.

I don't think that God is going to going to only let certain denominations in heaven, I think if you have a relationship with him...you are going to heaven...if you put him first.

I may be totally delusional! I just try to have the best relationship with God I can have everyday.

I know a lot of you will disagree and I understand..I am just kinda thinking out loud :)

Seriously, I never know when to stop. I had a baby shower that I helped out with today.

I always wayyyyyyyyy over make crafty goodies ESPECIALLY if it's for someone who is a crafty person too :)

I made Christy a corsage

Then I made the diaper cake

Then I made a diaper wreath...

Which is where I should have stopped...LOL

But I had to make two more baskets :P

I just couldn't stop. I never can. Nothing is funnier to me than doing something crafty and I am sooo dang OCD about it is nuts.

Everything has to be coordinated and I get consumed by the little details... :P The joy of having a type A personality.

Went to the dentist this morning, basically all the infections in the glands,nodes, etc spread to the tooth and cause the mother trucker to break off. It is ALIVE. So it hurts and the dentist says it has to come out, but he can't do it. Cue the music...seriously???

So the oral surgeron has to take it out and the first available appt isn't for weaks and I have a tooth with the nerve exposed and broken off that is infected...OKAY.

So needless to say I am going to try to make it through the weekend and figure crap out.

I swear I wish if the world was really going to end in 2010 that it happens today...or at least this weekend.

Was eating dinner tonight and half a back molar broke off, and it is still alive :O For sure. I wish it weren't. Apparently, they don't lie when they said some of the meds can make my teeth soft. Because half the dang tooth fell off :O

So off to the dentist I go tomorrow.

I have no fillings just apparently have teeth as soft as cheese.

Still feel way yuck but glad to be home. I literally slept all day. Seriously, and I went to bed early last night. I could still sleep for hours but what ya going to do?

I am still in some pain but feel better. Just trying to grin and bear it with over the counter meds.

Yeah, way easier said than done, but doing it :)

The steriods are making me soooo flushed. I look like I have a bad sunburn...I am sure people are like wth??? But what can you do ? LOL

Got a baby shower to go to on Saturday so I gotta rest up. I am sure it will wear me out. I feel like I am 100 :P

Oh well, it CAN always be WORSE. So I am counting my blessing and hoping all this passes fast so I can do stuff I want to do, like mess around with my camera,take Houston places,etc.

Got home lots of antibotics and steriods but home :)

Miserably swollen from all the iv fluids but other than that can't complain, tonight may be a long night, going cold turkey on no pain meds...don't like to take them at home :)

So we shall see how this all pans out lots of doc appts over the next week and my treatment...so they can keep an eye on me :)

Just glad to be home, which you can probably tell by all the smileys :)

Yay!!! I was going nuts. The lack of sleep is killing me...I hate being woke up contstanly and no sooner would I get to sleep than the pain was waking me up.

I am hoping for lots of sleep tonight.But it usually takes like a week to get back in the swing of things.

Lets hope I can keep the attitude in check with more steriods than normal.

Just sooooo glad I didn't have to have the lymph nodes drained, they are still waiting on one more scan but it all looks good :) well for me, considering.

Yeah, this is one of the reasons I put off coming in..something always go amiss and they want to keep me in,one of the docs said I needed 10 more days of the steriods and antibotics, but I hate to tell them I am doing it at home..I am whimpered and whined enough I ***hopefully*** should come home tomorrow.

Lets hope and pray and hope that everything goes good tonight and hopefully I can be sprung free.

I am going crazy. Still in pain but it is more manageable... :)

Yeah, I knew I was going to end up here....

Been in two nights so far, this is my third...probably looking at a few more days.

Had a hard time getting my pain under control and barfed all last night..but tonight/today I have realized that I am being stupid to try and lay off the pain meds.

The swelling is down a little bit, just being pumped full of antibiotics.

They did say that the mass/lump did seem to be lymphatic and not malignant...which is good :) Too be honest I had never thought it would be anything but lymphatic...

Off to try and catch up on blog reading....

I am missing my little man :(

Okay, that is an exaggeration but not by much. I have the infected salivary gland again. And the pain is ungodly. My teeth ache, my ear aches, my face is swollen and hurts.

Not fun.

I have a feeling that they will want to do continuous IV antibiotics...sometimes I balk at going into the hospital and they let me drive up every day to do it, but I feel so bad this time, I will just let them put me in.

I have had no sleep and still haven't managed to be pain free.

I just wanted you all to know I am alive, just sick...which is basically the story of my life.

This week or so has been ROUGH, I am not even going to lie...lots of crying because of the pain and the frustration of never feeling good.

I would love to feel "normal". I know that won't happen so I just want to get back to "my" normal.

Going to lay in the bed and whimper some more :(

I may be being a pansy but what can I say!? It hurts :(

It is all I can do to not go all Van Gogh and cut my ear off. To say it is hurting a wee bit, is a major understatement!!

The ear isn't so bad in itself. It is the infection on that side of my face in the salivary gland....ouch.Yeah,the right side of my face looks like I have been sucker punched...LOL

So sorry............ I have been scarce but pain meds make me sick so I have been trying to sleep as much off as I can :P

Having computer issues too so that bites!Wish I had the dough for another one, but it isn't in the cards.

That title will make NO sense to anyone not in the area...he is a local weatherman ;)

Today, I went with Houston's preschool class to the McWane Science Center because they are doing a unit on Dinos :) He had to tell everyone that they weren't real bones, only plastic :P

Mr. Literal is hard to impress...very analytical.

He did however LOVE the "green screen". He had everyone laughing as he ran from hurricanes, tornado's etc. Always the ham.

He also loved the thermal camera... :)

There was an animation station I about had to drag him away from too :)

He loves science so it was right up his alley and he loved having his friends there.

Only thing he was iffy on was the sharks... he was convinced kids were going to lose fingers ;)

I may not have health but I have some great amigas :)

Aw, he was so cute this morning and was patting my face...and kissing on me and giving me great hugs and his huge little eyes looked on mine and he said "I forgive you."

I told him thanks and asked him why?

I am sooo dang tired of one of us having it I could scream.

Houston has a couple more days of meds...but has about a week under his belt.

I apparently, am having an allergic reaction to something.

I look all hivey and swollen. Which if you know me because of my immune issues and illnesses isn't that strange but it's different than normal and I can always tell it's a reaction because my throat swells.

Fun times!

We are going a little stir crazy but otherwise hanging in there!

Not much to report because all we have done is play games, read, watch movies and mommy browses the net while the little germ incubator sleeps.

I was supposed to go see my dad get inducted into a hall of fame but because of my reaction and Houston the germ machine I couldn't :( Makes me sad.

I hope they took lots of pictures.

Speaking of pictures I wish it would warm up and we would get well so I could practice with my camera more....I can dream right?

It just hit me the other day that this was the week my little girl died 2 years ago.

I never got to met her. I never got to know her.

The only special times I had with her was when she was in my belly. Her only Christmas, her only snow.

It has been easier this year than last, but it is still hard. And everytime people ask how many kids you have you still want to say. I had a daughter, even if for just a little while.

My other miscarriges make me sad, but losing her really makes my heart hurt.

Houston talks about sisters and brothers all the time, and I know he would have made a great brother.

I wish I had more to remember her by, more to make her real. I basically just have pieces of paper like this, or pieces of paper with scary words.

Basically, an autospy report, except she never lived. But she did, inside of me :) And I love her all the same. As much as Houston , just in a different way.

He can also type words on the computer. They are also learning to read on the computer in preschool. All I can say is we need really go parental locks on the computer...he makes some mistakes that could end bad :P

Yep, another family member has succumed.

Houston has the flu.

The school called and said he was being quiet so they knew something was wrong ;)

They took his temp...101.

Took him to the doc where he told them "his brain" and "his heart" hurt. Then began the most pitiful please help me momma cry saying his feet and knees where hurting.

We then had to hold him down and try not to break a cute little arm to test for the flu.

So needless to say...he is taking tamiflu,cough stuff, antibotics,and lots of things to keep his fever down. I pray he doesn't get into full on seizure mode...it is always much worse when he has a fever.

We go back on Friday, so I guess I'll see what they say....

OMG,I have been perimenpausal for the last couple years...which basically means very few periods, but when I do it is TERRIBLE. (I can't believe I am posting this:P )

Well I guess I hit the lottery, because I am actually having a visit from Aunt Flo and I want to perform a homemade hysterectomy,with a BUTTER-KNIFE. Seriously, I wish my girlie parts would either work or just dry up. Did you know that perimenpause can go on for 10 years!!!!!!! I could cry.At this point I am a little jealous that my mom had a hysterectomy at my age (28).

Okay, enough of all that. And if you see me in real life, just pretend you didn't read all that ;)

I have been a little yuck lately.This time of year stinks for me healthwise. I can not wait for spring :P

I am sorry I have been slacking on the pics lately. It has been sooo cold for her. Which isn't super cold, but we aren't prepared clothes wise and I have been sick so not a lot of picture taking.

A friend of mine went to the "Oprah" show a few months back. She was given some lovely Cosabella pajamas.

Bloggy friends help me out

I know a lot of you love to take pics..so help a girl out. I am very type A I don't like to not do stuff right the first time.

I know there is a learning curve.

I have tried to start off shooting manual. Some are great, some are crap. Some are blue as heck, which I would think would mean, I need to adjust the white balance.

I went outside with Houston today and took a few pics close to sunset, I had the ISO set at 800 I think. I had the f stop at like 5...I am so clueless as when to use what. I got a magic lantern guide and the dang thing tells me nothing for my camera. It did come with a dvd I need to watch.

The camera takes beautiful pics on automatic so it is TOTALLY user error.

Help a girl out...what ISO do you use the most, can you help me out with white balance,f-stop etc.

I know there are no "generic" answers but anything would help.

I have two lenses...

The Kit lense 18-55mm and a 55-200mm f/4-5.6 .

Any pointers :P

That I have enjoyed having the wild child home from preschool during Christmas break.

We have played the Wii, games, his train table,and about every other toy he owns but I love it :)

He is a PISTOL. But is freaking funny. I laugh daily at something he he has said....

Yesterday he told his daddy some jewels. The best being when :

He told Jeremy.."Daddy, your hair looks so difficult I don't like it." ---He meant different ;)

He holds no prisoner ;)

I will miss him when I don't have him here with me everyday. But I think my body will thank me. It isn't easy to do the treatments and stuff when he is being them no to stick me or asking to help me ;)

The nurse last time actually was going to let him push some blood thinner...UGH no the dang thing is in my chest, I will PASS. Was she nuts? I think so ;)

Oh and not that ANY ONE cares but I will have a regular blog post tomorrow...

Taking it easy....

We have been taking to easy for the last couple of days. Some of it is was still have the "Christmas Hangover" to some extent I think . You know what I am talking about the weariness from the traveling, the panic and frustration trying to figure out where all those new gifts are actually going to go. That one.

Well we have pretty much recovered from that....pretty much. Last night Houston started running a fever and I was like **crap** because I have been sick and hacking a lung up for about the last two weeks, which has involved tons of drugs, trips for IV antibotics the works. Well I gave Houston meds and even though he has had the fever today for the most part he is acting fine, 100% fine...so I am not sure what it is...maybe it is viral??Who knows.

Anyway, we kept him contained today because we weren't sure how contagious he was. So we watched lots of tv, played with new toys and of course the Wii. Houston is still not the expert. He is the best on the sking. Too bad we live in the land of no snow. Stinks to be him! LOL

I really like the hula hooping. I am pretty good and on the plus side it is a major calolrie burner. There is nothing like watching your Wii Fit model plump up before your very eyes. Not good. Hopefully it will make me a little less of as Houston calls me a "large mama" I would love to say goodbye to the size 12's and hello to like a 6 :) I can dream ;)

We aren't big video game people...we have an Xbox 360 that has been played like twice. We use it for Netflix..which we <3...nothing compares ;)

Anyway, we decided to get Houston a Wii this year, and he loves it. We do too :) We resisted for quite a while but I am glad we got him one :)

It is a gift we can all enjoy. We put it in the study/office so we could play with it as a family but so we could also make sure Houston was only on it when we were supervising him :)

So far mommy likes bowling, daddy likes baseball and Houston likes Mario Kart :)

I got the Wii Fit Plus that Jeremy got me that I am dying to try out though I dread seeing my weight up there on the screen...yuck...hiss...boo.

Another wonderful gift I got is my mom got me a player than plays British DVD's and what can I say it was love at first site.

I have so many little doodads to play with this year, it makes being sick for the 900th time a wee bit easier. At least, I have plenty to do :)

So what where some of your favorite gifts this year...?? What was a hit for your kiddos???And more importantly what was a miss???

We had a great Christmas for the most part.

First my parents came to our house to swap gifts :)

Second, we had my mother's Christmas get together.It is her siblings and step siblings and their children. It's always fun.

This year Houston wasn't the only great grandchild. Sadie is here :) They already love each other.

We went home and waited for Santa.

He came and left some notes for Houston :)

Houston played for a while then we went to Mammaw's House to open gifts :)Wouldn't you know he racked up there as well ;)He is the only great grandchild ;)

He got lots of presents too :)

He got a obscene amount of Thomas the Train stuff:) He was a happy camper.

Then the next day we drove back up to see family and had Christmas at Jeremy's parents house.

He had fun because he has 3 cousins there...they are all boys :)

Daddy had fun playing with his twin brother, Uncle Rodney, even if it did involve a muzzle at one point...LOL

I would love to see pics from your special day :)

It was kind of bittersweet that my grandad wasn't here with us but his grave stone had came in on the 23rd so we enjoyed getting to see that. It is exactly what he wanted and it is beautiful.

From a gift stand point we racked up :)

I think one of Houston's favorite gifts is his train table that my parents got him. Of course crafty Meme had to "bedazzle" it :)

The only gift Houston didn't like was the Frosty the Snowman Dvd set I got him, He was a little freaked out by it...and we aren't sure why..LOL

I got a new camera yesterday. Finally got an DSLR...yay me...welcome to the 21st century, Jade.

I tried it out this afternoon, of course I picked the worst time of day, sunset but I couldn't wait.

I refuse to use automatic...so it's manual all the way :)

All these are straight of the camera...I haven't even begun to use photoshop....I don't even know where my cd is...LOL

Seeing My friend Ariana's pics of her son's endoscopy made me realize I had never even uploaded the pics of Houston getting his mri....so without further ado...

He was quite the little turkey there.

They told him they need to give him an iv, he told them "No thank you" and even told them he would smile.

Then he told them as they were coming at them with needles that "You are all bullies", "We shouldn't play with needles, they are dangerous" and a host of other things...the doctor told him he was to smart for his own good and he told her "Yes, doctor I know." LOL

He is banshee child.

Well first off, I think I jinxd myself yesterday,because I woke up today...sick.

Yuck. My throat is killing me and I look like I have been punched in the neck.

I may have to stay on th higher doses of antibotics just as my maintence dose ( meaning the doses of antibotics I take everyday.)

Anyway, today I get a phone call and it's my infusion company that does my home infusions etc. and she was calling to tell me that the nurse I have had for the last year or so was no longer with the one company and they were going to have to see if they could contract her out.

I began to panic....it takes a while to find someone you don't mind having up in your house or your business for hours a day sometimes multiple days a week.

I had a nurse who I loved but with her shecdule and her kids she couldn't drive the 1.5 it took to get here any more. I tried out a few more nurses and it didn't click.

It is kinda like dating :) I mean shoot she gets to go to second base on the first date ;0) Well then I found one I liked and was getting panicking and sad thinking I would have to "date" again.

Then they called me back and said she would still be able to do my infusions...whew close call ;)

I am sorry I haven't been a good blogger. This time of year is literally hell for my system.

I feel like they don't even need to disconnect me from my iv....my freaking port is sore as heck from being used so much...when my bra strap runs across it...I shudder :P

I hate having to have it used so much because they only have a limited life....wonder what they look like??

They are implanted under the skin, mine is on my right side, on my upper chest....it is right above my breast.

They access it by using on of these needles. You can't use regular needles...

The needles aren't sharp they are super dull, so it feels like a paper clip is being shoved thru...not fun. I still hate hate hate hate it and have to fight the urge to slap my nurse...LOL

Anyway, you can see why I wouldn't want to have to get the bad boy replaced...but it is becoming obvious it is going to happen soon :P Which sucks. Wish they would last longer.

What can I do....anyway, off to do more Internet Christmas shopping...it's not quite the same but it's fun and as I am not wanting to get sicker or where a Micheal Jackson mask it'll do :)

We finally got the tree up last night :)

I was dreading the whole process but I didn't drag out all the extras and I am loving it now.

I just can't believe Christmas is almost here again, my birthday is this WEEK. When did that happen?

Houston is soooo stinking excited about Christmas, it cracks me up.

Got all the presents wrapped, which is a load off...now I can just enjoy :)

Various family members are filling me in on what they are getting Houston, a train table,gaming systems, you name it.

I swear I am going to have to add a wing on to the house.

I just found out that my grandmother is in the hospital, hopefully she gets out tomorrow. She is having blood issues. She is in the hospital getting transfusions now.

I hope everything helps and she gets out soon :(

Jeremy and I have been watching the show "Suprnatural" today and it is pretty good. I had never even heard of it before.

I got lots of good dvds the other day with birthday money....:) Yay, me.

Houston has been a little messy boy the last couple of days...the dragging out gets old :P
